APPROACH
We have been Executive Directors, immigration lawyers, public defenders, organizers, communicators, and educators who have worked in the trenches. We believe deeply in the social justice issues for which we have fought for decades, including immigrant rights, criminal justice, LGBTQ rights, gender justice, reproductive justice, racial justice, labor, and education equity. We do not shy away from a challenge. We have taken on hard fights and celebrated victories in courts, in state legislatures, in Congress, and in shaping public opinion.

We have deep content knowledge and know the importance of navigating the nuances of complex social justice politics, language, and law. While we understand the law, we also know its limitations. We find big picture solutions and can also get into the weeds to help realize them.

We are thorough but fast. If we don’t know the answer to something, we will figure it out. We have a significant amount of experience and expertise, but we also know enough people who know enough things that we are confident we can deliver on what you need.

We love to put our creative energy to work, whether it’s in content creation or solving a particularly difficult dilemma. We are nimble and not constrained by the way things are usually done.

We’ve worked with consultants where the final product sits on a shelf. Maybe it didn’t end up fitting your organizational culture or acknowledging the realities of what it would take to implement. Our goal is to ease your burdens, making sure plans will actually be useful. We will take into account current and future capacity and provide implementation support where needed.
