Just Counsel offers consulting to organizations and campaigns committed to social change, as well as a boutique law practice focused on post-conviction relief and support for immigrants facing deportation. We fight alongside people directly impacted by unjust laws and their advocates.
We have been Executive Directors, immigration lawyers, public defenders, organizers, communicators, and educators who have worked in the trenches. We believe deeply in the social justice issues for which we have fought for decades, including immigrant rights, criminal justice, LGBTQ rights, gender justice, reproductive justice, racial justice, labor, and education equity. We do not shy away from a challenge. We have taken on hard fights and celebrated victories in courts, in state legislatures, in Congress, and in shaping public opinion.

Boutique Legal Practice
Our attorneys offer advice and representation for post-conviction relief (440 motions in New York), pardons, and campaign support for immigrants facing consequences from a criminal offense. We are client-centered and will enthusiastically coordinate representation with organizers and advocates fighting your case. We also advise immigration attorneys, advocates, and criminal defense attorneys on cases involving the interaction of immigration and criminal law. We speak Spanish and can arrange for interpretation for other languages.
